Wharf time

Elkhorn obsessions & holidays!

It's official I'm addicted! If you haven't worked it out already I have a obsession with boats, birds, water and wharves! I can't get enough of them. I dream of one day owning my very own boat shed/studio with private wharf & Halvorson boat ready for weekend escapes. But for now I am happy to dream away on one of the local wharves & take in the sweet bird life...

 

 

 

That being said you won't hear from me for a while... I am heading off on a much needed holiday today. As I can't get enough of wharves & water I am off to explore the coast of WA with a great buddy! Can't wait to see the longest jetty in Busselton! I'll be sure to take plenty of photos and report back to you in a couple of weeks.
Exciting things to come for Elkhorn when I'm back. With new designs in everything from table runners to summer tank tops & bags! Take care everyone xx

Totes & Boats!

Over the last couple of days i've been working on a design for our new Elkhorn Totes! My good friend Zoe's been saying for a while now that our prints would look great on a bag... so here they are my friend! Just in time for The Olive Tree Markets tomorrow. They are an ideal size to pack up with your days goodies or fill them up at your local produce markets. I like taking mine down to the local wharf and watch the sweet boats swanning around! Elkhorn Mother will be very happy i've attached her 'Whimsy things' brooches as a finishing touch. What do you think?!
 

 

 

Beautiful weathered wharf

Although we are heading into winter here... I am so taken by this glamorous Anthropologie shoot. I love the weathered wharf with the contrasting 50's(?) beauty. The location is very Elkhorn-esk, don't you think? I am sure the fishermen down at Patonga would think she was the catch of the day!
Right! all I need now is to design some Elkhorn swimwear and have one of my glamorous Elkhorn friend's pose. Any volunteers?  Speaking of Patonga I am heading their now for a yummy pub lunch! I hope your enjoying your weekend x

Local Wharf

For a refreshing change I thought I would give you a glimpse of my Sunday, appose to bombarding you with the latest thing we have made. It's places like the local wharf that refreshes & relaxes me and allows the new week to begin. I hope everyone else had a chance to "just be" in their favourite place.

Anchors Aweigh!

"Anchors Aweigh" - Floor & Throw Cushions 100% Linen with Denim backing

Seeing as one half of Elkhorn is having a sneaky little holiday... I thought it would be appropriate to show off our "Anchors Aweigh" Cushions, as they remind me of the sea and easy days. For now they come in a large throw cushion 50x50cm and a relaxed floor cushion 70x70cm. The Anchor design is hand-printed in navy blue on beige 100% Linen, with a sturdy denim back and our favorite natural cord edging completing the sea worthy look.  Bon voyage for now.
