Low-tide journey to Hardys Bay

Happy New Year to you all, I hope it's off to a great start!
Nearly two weeks into the new year... can you believe it!? I think I'm officially back from my holiday hiatus and ready to begin Elkhorn 2012! Definitely all relaxed-out if that's possible.
I've missed the Elkhorn blog, Elkhorn and the Central Coast! It's so great to be back, especially with these few days of proper Summer.
I thought I'd begin the year in sharing this mornings instagram journey to one of my favourite local walks that always sets me up for a great start to the day. Timing's important for this walk unless you would prefer to swim... You can only access the track at low-tide which makes it extra adventurous...

Hardys Bay!
These are just half the photos I took! It was hard to stop where I did... so many beautiful spots. If I didn't lose you half way and you'd like to see more then head over to our new Elkhorn Instagram page. Where you can choose to follow Elkhorn Instagram if your heart desires! Can wait to get into the New Year and see you all at the Markets soon!! xx

Sunday Mooching

OH it's Monday again... how did that happen? Hope you had a relaxing weekend!
Sunday was a true spring day. We spoilt Dad with a long lunch at
YumYum Eatery and then strolled up the hill for a Moochinside fix, while Dad patiently amused himself on their outside balcony.  I still get a kick out of seeing Elkhorn displayed so beautifully amongst the eclectic mix of designers. Here are a few of my current favourites... with a quintessentially Australia flavour don't you think? I am loving the sweet Sean the Prawn cushions?

Sean the Prawn cushions & Elkhorn Feather table runner.

Matthew Mainsbridge @ Moochinside

I have been meaning to share this beautiful work displayed in Moochinside for the last couple of weeks. I was really taken by these intricate oil paintings by local artist Matthew Mainsbridge. I wish I had had my camera on that day as more then half his work has been sold since (which is fantastic for him). Yesterday I dropped off Elkhorn's new range of Dahlia wraps into Moochinside and made sure I had my camera in hand.

I did a little google search on Matthew but couldn't find any website which is a shame as he had many other wonderful paintings of washed up seaweed & feathers. I was informed he is also a framer which is why these paintings are finished off so beautifully. He seems to be a man of many talents as he also makes the best coffee at The Fat Goose!

Elkhorns new home - Moochinside

I am pretty chuffed our first store to stock Elkhorn is Moochinside at Hardys Bay, Central Coast. It is a beautiful store owned by Margie(Mooch) & hubby Pete, located in what I think is one of the most idyllic & picturesque places on the Central Coast. I popped in today and took a few photos, featuring Elkhorn and other gorgeous goodies. I got a bit caught up on the details and forgot to stand back and take photos of the whole store and the views out from their relaxing outdoor area... next time! I have long been a fan of Moochinside and find myself there every other week. There is always something new and wonderful, often coast inspired which I love!
